How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve the platform, including to: create and manage your account; display mentor profiles to prospective mentees; process booking requests, approvals, and cancellations; facilitate sessions and chat between mentors and mentees; process payments and mentor payouts; send service notifications about bookings, messages, and payouts; and keep the platform safe by preventing fraud and abuse.
Sharing of Information
Your profile information is visible to other users as part of the mentor search and booking experience. We share information with service providers who help us operate the platform, such as payment providers and video conferencing services, only to the extent needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users. We do not sell your personal information.
Payments
Payments on MentorFinder are processed by external payment services such as PayPal. We do not store your full payment credentials on our servers. Your payment information is handled by the payment provider under its own terms and privacy policy, and we receive only the transaction details needed to confirm bookings and manage mentor payouts.
Data Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes.
